Was gone for a minute, now I’m back with the jump-off!
I know, I know its been a month of Sundays, but let me explain! The simplest of explanations is…well “GOD is GOOD!”
I started this blog as a peep-hole into my life…and all of its hecticness. I’m not doing it for the likes or to try and rally up sponsorships. I could care less if I have a handful of subscribers or an entire community. I simply wanted to share my point of view about random life stuff. My hair is nappy, my kids are hilarious and my humor is laced with sarcasm. Amidst all that I’m a slightly insecure wife, mom and entrepreneur desperately trying to find balance and generally just trying not to eff up!
So shortly after I established my HerHecticLife twitter account, I sent a tweet into social media oblivion stating that I was “looking for no down time”. Well BABY! These last few months have given me a run for my money!
For one, I have been enjoying developing my company, Embellish, and have some crazy exciting things in the works for the next few years. For years people have been telling me how talented I am and I can’t help but to think that maybe they were on to something. Lately my creativity has been on 10 (if I do say so myself) and for every goal I reach, my mind replaces it with 3 new ones! Embellish is like a newborn baby in that I prayed and nested long and hard for months (years, depending on how you look at it) and ever since I “birthed” it, it’s been a bunch of late nights and early mornings…but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
In nurturing baby E, I learned that I have a passion for branding, networking and fellowshipping with other business builders who look just like me. A realization that fellow female entrepreneur and friend of mine, Stephanie came to almost simultaneously. After 2 or 3 sessions of us helping other new businesses with branding and development…Grind & Grace was born.
Over at the Grind & Grace headquarters Steph and I have been busy interviewing industry experts and securing venues for upcoming functions. Fun and exciting networking events are in the works and we are eager to showcase them!
To say that Embellish and Grind & Grace have been keeping me occupied is an understatement. But I’m the one who asked for no down time so I cant complain. I’ve gotta grab my planner, a metallic gold sharpie, a bottle of Pepsi and grind gracefully!
I’ve always been a believer in speaking things into existence. But these last few months have confirmed that if you put things out into the universe, the universe will indeed align itself accordingly…so you’d better be ready!
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
